This book was written by the administrator of St Columba's Church Long Tower Derry City,Ireland,and was published in the year 1899.
The material covering very early christian historical content has been challenged during recent times by current leading academics something I am not adequately qualified to agree or disagree on,but the information dealing with events of that time is of immense interest to the local people of the Derry area.
Since those times the church has been rebuilt much in the same design as the previous one and this publication gives us today an opportunity to view things as they were 100 years + and more.
Here in Derry it is a much sought after book and is held in many families and passed on through the generations.It is not easily come by and if one does come across a copy in the local area it will cost approx $140.00.
For anyone with ancestors coming from Derry it is well worth having a read if you can get one,although our local library does possess at least one copy.
